Huien Technology Co. Ltd., established by Professor Liu in 2023 within the prestigious Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), specializes in innovative preservation methods for high-value food items and herbs, encompassing durian, ginseng, waxberry, and more. The company applies a unique technology that coats these products with a biodegradable and safe cellulose film derived from bamboo. This groundbreaking incubation project is proudly supported by HKSTP. Leveraging the nano-preservation frontier, Huien Technology's team has forged collaborations with esteemed research institutions and universities, including the University of Hong Kong, the National Nano Research Center (Guangzhou), Molbene University, and others, to further advance their cutting-edge solutions.
Furthermore, as Huien Technology Co. Ltd. continues to expand its footprint in the realm of food preservation, we are thrilled to announce the successful launch of our latest product line: a revolutionary nano-coated edible packaging for edible wild mushrooms and fresh meats. By incorporating cutting-edge nanotechnology with natural ingredients, we've created a solution that not only enhances shelf life but also maintains the freshness, aroma, and nutritional integrity of these premium products. The Huiyun Technology team is jointly tackling key technical challenges in the preservation of precious Chinese medicinal herbs with the research team led by Academician Zhang Boli from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. They have achieved technological breakthroughs in the preservation of fresh ginseng, fresh wolfberry, fresh ganoderma lucidum, and other medicinal herbs, and have manufactured and launched specialized preservation products.
Our edible packaging film is made from a blend of biodegradable polymers and natural extracts, ensuring complete safety for consumers while reducing waste and promoting environmental sustainability. This innovation resonates with the growing consumer demand for eco-friendly and health-conscious products.
To sustain our momentum and further propel our technological advancements, Huien Technology is embarking on a series of strategic initiatives. One such initiative involves enhancing our R&D capabilities by establishing a dedicated Nanotechnology Innovation Lab within our HKSTP facilities. This lab will serve as a hub for interdisciplinary collaboration, fostering innovation through the integration of nanotechnology, biotechnology, and materials science.
Moreover, we are actively seeking partnerships with international food producers and distributors, aiming to globalize our offerings and make our innovative preservation solutions accessible to a wider market. Our vision is to revolutionize the food and herb industry by providing sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective preservation methods that benefit farmers, producers, and ultimately, consumers worldwide.
In line with this, we are organizing a virtual summit titled "Future of Food Preservation: Nanotechnology Meets Sustainability" in collaboration with our esteemed research partners. This event aims to bring together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to discuss the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in the field. We cordially invite you to join us as we embark on this exciting journey and contribute to shaping the future of food preservation.
Lastly, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to HKSTP for their unwavering support, which has been instrumental in our growth and success. We look forward to continuing our partnership as we drive innovation and sustainability in the food preservation industry.
