The incubation achievements of the Hong Kong Science Park have once again gained international recognition. Huien Technology Co., Limited, a key incubated enterprise at the Park focused on the R&D and production of bamboo-derived food-grade nanocellulose preservation technology, recently announced that its self-developed "Bamboo-Based Nanocellulose Preservation Product Series" has been successfully selected for the review stage of the 2025 Global Digital Trade Expo Pioneer Award (DT Award). As the sole incubated enterprise from the Hong Kong Science Park to enter the review stage of this award, Huien Technology's outstanding performance in the fields of green technology innovation and digital trade application has been highly recognized.

Huien Technology demonstrates strong innovative capabilities and commercial potential at the intersection of digital trade and green technology with its globally leading "replace plastic with bamboo" food preservation solution. Utilizing bamboo, a renewable resource, the company produces fully biodegradable nanocellulose preservation material through a green extraction process. This material is widely used for preserving high-value-added fresh products such as durian, lychee, bayberry, flowers, and eggs, with technical performance reaching internationally leading levels.

The company has already established the world's first production line for food-grade nanocellulose with an annual capacity of 30,000 tons. It has obtained multiple international authoritative certifications including U.S. FDA certification, Chinese organic product certification, and ISO quality management system certification, and holds over 20 invention patents domestically and abroad. Its products have been exported to markets including Malaysia, the United States, Thailand, Japan, and South Korea, achieving breakthrough results in preserving high-end ingredients like durian, fresh ginseng, and wild mushrooms.
